Prof. Dr. Guowei Zhao is currently a Professor in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Huanggang Normal University, China. He earned his Ph.D. in 2017 from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he researched developing solid electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries under the guidance of Prof. Kanno Ryoji, a pioneer in discovering Li10GeP2S12-type superionic conductors. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Zhao worked as a Postdoctoral researcher and project assistant professor in Prof. Kanno’s group until March 2021, when he transitioned to his current role.

Research Interest 

Dr. Zhao’s research focuses on developing lithium conductors for all-solid-state batteries and novel inorganic materials for supercapacitors. His work aims to advance the performance and safety of energy storage devices through innovative material science.
